People buy from people they trust. Trust is the basis of every relationship and not only the relationship of buyer and seller. Trust is earned it cannot be purchased. But how do you build trust? By showing up. By providing value. But how do you show up in this noisy world. Make Videos. It has been proved that people remember faces more than your logos. So show up often. You have hesitation making videos. Everyone has. Give maximum value free. Now coming to value, you have to provide value the customer is looking for and not the value you have built in your product.
Once I was travelling from Delhi to Chennai. While I was getting my boarding pass person attending me tried to upsell me higher class. He tried to convince me of the value of higher class and was wasting my as well as his time. For a person like me who is upgraded to air travel from train travel has a value but not from the so called cattle class to upper class. Once again while I was travelling from Banglore to Delhi I was offered booking of refreshment at the ground which were much cheaper compared to price if the same is purchased in air. Yes, its a value for me. So I think its clear now.
Moreover we have to be little patient while building trust. It takes time to build trust as you cannot build trust overnight. People are skeptical due to past experiences. They judge everyone from the lenses of past experiences. So a salesman to overcome the skepticism of customers, takes time.
